Rafting on the most beautiful river of the Alps - the Salza in Styria!
The styrian Salza is one of the most beautiful Rafting rivers in Europe. Crystal clear water, stunning scenery, jump spots and top whitewater in easy to middle difficulty are the trademarks of this fascinating river. Pure nature with a sporty touch!
Schedule for a rafting trip on the Salza in Styria:
After meeting our guides in our Basecamp Salza, you will get all the suiting safety equipment (neoprene suit, neoprene jacket, neoprene shoes, PFD, helmet, paddle). After changing in our changing rooms we will take a drive to the put in of the river, which will take us about 20 minutes. At the put-in you will get a safety briefing from your guide, before we put on with our raft. After a splashy start we will take a short stop after 10-15 minutes on the river. Brave clients can take a jump down the bridge (5 meters).
With the raft trough the Palfauer Canyon - a unique experience!
After the jump we continue our descent trough nice cataracts and finally into the beautiful "Palfauer Gorge", the most interesting part of the trip. In the canyon waits another jump spot, until we reach our take out "Saggraben". At lower water levels it is also possible to switch for small rafts our canous (please request in advance if possbile). After the take out we will drive 5 minutes back to the camp, where you can take a hot shower and maybe have a cold drink to reflect on our adventure.
