On your self built raft through the beautiful Salza river in Styria - perfect for company excursions!
Creativity, team spirit and a some degree of technical skill is necessary when you have to build your own raft out of ropes, floats and wooden planks.
Especially, when this raft is supposed to bring you down the river safely. But the reward will be worth it - the lower parts of the Salza are perfect for man crafted rafts, offering easy whitewater in an astonishing environment.
Schedule for the Raft Building on the Salza in Styria:
Meeting point is our Basecamp Salza. After an introduction we will get all the equipment we need depending on the weather. On hot summer days, paddle, life jacket helmet and bathing shorts are enough. If it is colder, you will also get warm neoprene equipment.
Teamwork, clear communication and distributing roles will be necessary
After that we will bring you to a nice beach on the riverside. The first step will be to bring all our material down to the beach - good teamwork will be necessary here! After some short instructions from your guide we will split up the group into teams, so that we can working on the rafts. Your task is to build a raft that is able to float you down the river with all the tools we provide for you. Teamwork, clear communication, distributing roles and responsibilities will be necessary here.
On the raft through one of the most beautiful sessions of the Salza river
After the guides check our raft, we can push it into the river and start our descent. On this very scenic section of the river we will find easy whitewater, long turns and sandy beaches. Shortly before we reach our take out of the reservoir, there is also a small jump spot into the crystal clear water for those who are brave enough.
After returning to our camp, we will reflect together with the guides about our experience. On demand it is also possible to have a barbeque after the trip (19,00 / Person excl. drinks).
