Salza Half Day
Rafting on the most beautiful river of the Alps - the Salza in Styria!
The styrian Salza is one of the most beautiful rivers to raft on in Europe. Crystal clear water, stunning scenery, jump spots and top whitewater in easy to middle difficulty are the trademarks of this fascinating river. Pure nature with a sporty touch!
Schedule for a rafting trip on the Salza in Styria:
After meeting our guides at our Basecamp Salza, you will get all the necessary equipment (neoprene suit, neoprene jacket, neoprene shoes, life jacket, helmet, paddle). After changing in our changing rooms we will take an about 20 minutes car ride to the entry of the river. Before we start our tour, you will get a detailed safety briefing from your guide. After a splashy start we will take a short stop after 10-15 minutes on the river. Brave clients can dare a 5 meter jump into the ice cold water.
With the raft through the Palfauer Canyon - a unique experience!
After the jump we continue our descent trough nice cataracts and finally into the beautiful "Palfauer canyon", the most interesting part of the trip. In the canyon awaits another jump spot, until we reach the end spot of our trip, called "Saggraben". At lower water levels it is also possible to switch for small rafts our canoes (please request in advance if possible). After the take out we will drive 5 minutes back to the camp, where you can take a hot shower and maybe have a cold drink to reflect on our adventure.
