Kayak Intermediate Course (3 Days)
3-Day Intermediate Kayak Course for Paddlers with prior experience on the Salza in Styria
Our 3-day kayak intermediate course on the Salza river builds on the basics of the 2-day beginner course and is aimed at participants who already have some prior experience in kayaking and wish to elevate their skills to a more advanced level.
During these 3 days, we will focus on consolidating basic techniques such as eddy turns, ferry gliding, and navigating exciting river sections up to whitewater grade 2.
The Salza in Styria provides an ideal setting for this course, with its clear water, picturesque landscapes, and a variety of river stretches suitable for different skill levels. Here, we have the opportunity to demonstrate our skills on various sections of the river while enjoying the breathtaking natural scenery of the region.
Kayak Course for Paddlers with Prior Experience
This 3-day intermediate course seamlessly follows the 2-day beginner course and, together with it, forms the complete 5-day basic course. By the end of this course, you should feel more confident and secure in whitewater.
What you should bring in whitewater experience:
Have you already completed a 2-day beginner course or do you have some days of whitewater kayaking experience, but you're not quite ready for the advanced course? Perhaps it's been too long since your last paddle strokes? Then this is the right place for you! General techniques such as exiting a capsized kayak, basic strokes, eddy turns, and ferry gliding should definitely be familiar – we start right away with a river section on the first day of the course.
