Salza "Family"
Family rafting on the beautiful Salza river in Austria, an amazing adventure for kids and adults, too!
This trip offers a perfect adventure for the whole family in the "Gesäuse" in Styria.
Depending on the water level we will paddle the standard rafting section of the Salza, or choose for safety reason another option a bit upstream, in case the water level is too high. With over 50 kilometers of untouched whitewater this is no problem on the Salza.
A special highlight of the trip: there are two jumping spots during the rafting trip for those, who are brave enough!
Schedule for the rafting Salza "Family" on the Salza in Styria:
Meeting point is our Basecamp Salza in Großreifling. After meeting our guide every participant will get proper safety equipment. Especially for our smallest guests we have fitting neoprene and helmets, on colder days we also provide additional layers.
After an approximately 20 minute long car ride, we reach the entry to the river. Before we start the tour, our guide will give us a detailed safety briefing.
Great whitewater, beautiful scenery and nice jumping spots
The Salza in the Gesäuse offers nice and continuous whitewater. Many rapids make the river exciting, but the main reason for its popularity is its beautiful nature and scenery. We will paddle through deep canyons on crystal clear water with drinking quality.
For the bravest ones of our trip there will also be the possibility to jump into the water or take a whitewater swim at a safe spot. Of course this will be optional for each participant.
This trip is a great adventure and unforgettable nature experience. At the end of the trip our smallest "rafters" will also receive a certificate to remember their rafting trip.
